The Raghuvanshi mansion was awake long before the sun has fully risen. Servants bustled through the halls, the smell of chai filling the air. Everyone in the family was either enjoying the tea, reading the newspaper or chatting over breakfast.

Everyone- except Aniruddh.

The morning sun was high in the sky, but Aniruddh Singh Raghuvanshi's study, time seemed to be frozen.

Thick curtains blocked out the daylight, leaving only the glow of his laptop screen and the dim light of the table lamp. The black shirt sleeves rolled up, veins flexing on his forearm as he signed another contract. A cup of coffee, long gone cold, sat beside him, untouched.

The screen reflected off his sharp gaze- calculating, always one step ahead. Whether it's business or something darker, he always try not to lose his control.

A knock at the door broke his focus.

Before he could response, the door swung open revealing Aadarsh and Ekash.

Aadarsh, strolled in casually followed by Ekash.

"Ani, Tum Subah se laptop me ghuse ho!" Aadarsh folded his arms, shaking his head in disbelief.

(Ani, you are in your laptop since the morning!)

"Agar laptop se hi shaadi krni hai toh bata do, Hum koi aur arrangement krte hai!"

(If you want to marry the laptop then tell us, we'll make some arrangements!)

Aniruddh sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose,"Bhai, mujhe kaam hai-"

(Brother, I have work-)

"Bhai, aap insaan ho ya machine?" Ekash cut him off flopping into the couch. "Subah se yahan ghuske baithe ho. Aapka dimag overheat nhi hota?"

(Brother are you human or machine, you're in your laptop since the morning, doesn't your brain get over heated?)

Aniruddh didn't even glance up,"Kaam kar raha hoon. Tum log yahan kis liye aaye ho?"

(I'm doing work. Why are you people here?)

Aadarsh crossed his arms,"Tujhe le jaane aaye hai. Maa gussa ho rahi hai."

(We are here to take you. Mother is getting angry)

Aniruddh sighed,"Baad mein aata hoon."

(I'll come later)

Ekash grinned,"Matlab aapko neeche le Jane ke liye kuch extra karna padga." With that, without warning Ekash snatched Aniruddh's phone off the table.

(That means, to take you down we have to put extra efforts)

"Ekash, phone nhi yrr!" Aniruddh glared Ekash.

(Ekash, not my phone!)

Aniruddh's glared didn't waver Ekash, he waved the phone teasingly,"Niche chaliye warna abhi, Saanvi ko call laga dunga!"

(Come down with us, or I'll call Saanvi right now!)

Aniruddh's eyes widened,"Mera pass uska number nhi hai!"

(I don't have her number!)

Aadarsh chuckled,"Accha toh Tere hit list mein sabse pehle naam kiska hai?"

(Ohh really, whose name is in the top of your hitlist?)

Aniruddh shot Aadarsh a glare,"Mein usse baat nhi krta!"

(I don't talk to her!)

"Toh phir usse block kyu nhi kiya?" Aadarsh grinned teasingly.

(Then why don't you block her?)

"Kyuki bhaiya ko lagta hai kissi din Nafrat mohobbat mein badal jayegi!" Ekash smirked teasingly only to receive a smack from Aniruddh.

(Because, brother thinks that someday, the hatred will turn to love!)

Aniruddh exhaled sharply, rubbing his temples,"If you both don't shut up now, I swear to God, I'll commit 2 murders right now!"

Aadarsh chuckled,"Come on, first let's go down!"

Aniruddh finally stood up snatching his phone from Ekash,"Bhaiya, don't you think, you should be thinking about your wedding right now?"

Aadarsh glared him,"Meri Shaadi ko abhi bahut time hai!"

(I have a lot of time for my marriage)

Aniruddh chuckled as they came down in the dinning area.

The second Aniruddh stepped into the dining hall, all the conversation stopped causing the hall to fall silent. Arunya, Rajveer, Geetika, Shaswat and Asha were already seated.

His mother– Arunya looked up pleased, while His father– Rajveer simply raised an amused eyebrow. They all had smiles and were the devils in disguise.

"Lo, Aru aagaya tumhara Ladla." Geetika sighed dramatically. "Tumhe koi samjha bhi skta hai?"

(look aru here your darling is here. Can someone explain it to you?)

"Haa na, Siddharth bhaiya ki behen!" Ekash said grinning only to receive a glare from Aniruddh and chuckled from the family.

(Yes siddharth bhaiya's sister!)

Aniruddh glared him,"Mujhe Saanvi se koi Matlab nhi!"

(I don't care about Saanvi!)

Geetika smiled knowingly just then Ekash continued,"Bhaiya, Shaadi ka kab soch rahe ho?" He nudged him teasingly.

(When are you thinking of getting married brother?)

"Jab Tera dimag theek se kaam karega!" Aniruddh said without even blinking.

(When you brain starts working properly!)

Aadarsh chuckled,"Matlab, kabhi nhi!"

(Means never!)

Arunya spoke after a long time,"Ani, tumhare dukh dard ka ilaaj sirf ek hi hai– ek pyaari si bahu, jo tumhari zindagi sudhar de."

(There is only one cure for your pain and sorrow- a lovely daughter-in-law, who will improve your life.)

Ekash grinned mischievously,"Aur woh ilaaj bhi Itni taarif wali hogi ki aap laptop ko phir kabhi Haath bhi nhi lagao."

(And that cure will be so praiseworthy that you will never touch the laptop again.)

Aniruddh scoffed,"Mujhe sirf Mera Kaam ilaaj or sudharta hai, log nhi!"

(Only my work cures and improves me, not people.)

Just then Aniruddh's phone rang up – He looked at his phone at the caller id it was Siddharth.

Aniruddh glanced at his phone and then at his family,"I'm leaving."

And with that he left the Mansion despite his family telling him to stop. He picked up Siddharth's call putting it on his ear.

"Bol, Siddharth."

(Speak, Siddharth.)

"Office kab aaraha hai?" Siddharth asked from the other side of the call.

(When are you coming to office?)

"Abhi nikal gaya hoon." Aniruddh said taking a turn smoothly.

(I'm just leaving.)

"Good, ek new deal final hui hai. Jaldi aa!"

(Good, A new deal has been finalised, come fast.)

"Hmm, I'm reaching." With that he hung up the call.

The sleek black Rolls-Royce glided through the city streets, it's engine purring as Aniruddh Singh Raghuvanshi sat behind the wheels, one hand resting on the gear while the other drummed against the leather steering wheel.

His sharp eyes fixed on the road ahead, his jaw clenched in its usual firm and unreadable expression.

But his mind was not stable, it kept running to the only figure, he wanted to ignore, to forget but kept running back.

He wouldn't admit. Not even to himself.

Yet there she was again- the white coat, the infuriating, loud-mouthed and stubborn woman.

"Dr. Saanvi Oberoi." His grip on the wheel tightened as the same name echoed in his mind repeatedly.

A doctor, a damn good one, apparently. He had heard everyone- almost everyone, Siddharth, his family and even the patients.

She was brilliant, kind-hearted and most importantly fiercely independent.

She had her way with the patients, and had made her name for herself without relying on her family's wealth.

She have a great family or should we say a wealth one.

Oberoi Enterprise and The Raghuvanshi's and Sons were the most successful businesses also they are partners.

She could have easily used her family's wealth but she didn't. That's what makes her- her, Dr. Saanvi Oberoi.

But for him? She was nothing but a thorn in his side. The only one who could disobey him. The only stubborn woman who disagrees to listen.

Aniruddh scoffed, shifting the gears as he sped up. "Independence ki murti." He muttered under his breath.

(Statue of independence.)

He should be thinking about the project, about anything else but her. He hated the fact that he was thinking about her instead of anything else. Yet, his mind chose to betray him.

He sped the car trying to focus on anything, anything but her. His mind flew back to the images from there last meeting.

The sharp glare she gave him, the way her lips curl in disdain when she was forced to speak to him, as if he was her worst nightmare. As if she was not there to ruin his peace.

"Apko na patience naam ki cheez sheekhni chahiye!" Her words rang in his ears.

(You should learn something called patience.)

Patience? That stubborn little 5'3 doctor had the audacity to lecture him, to gain patience. His grip on the staring wheel tightened and his knuckles turned white.

He don't care, not about her! And definitely not about the way she always appeared so composed, even when arguing with him. Atleast that's what he is saying to himself.

He let out a slow, exasperated breath,"Not thinking about her." He muttered,"Just annoyed."

The car screeched to a halt at a red light, giving him a moment to glance at his reflection from the rear view mirror.

His scowl deepened. Aniruddh Singh Raghuvanshi didn't waste time on unnecessary thoughts and– Dr. Saanvi Oberoi was the most unnecessary thought of all.

With that, he pressed down the accelerator as soonest thelight turned green. Shaking off the unwanted presence of a particular doctor in his mind, Or at least he tries to.

He pulled infront of the driveway of his office and got down the car shutting the door behind.
