The next day morning....

The rays of sunlight filtered through Saanvi's curtains, casting a soft glow across her room. She groaned, pulling the blanket over her head, and shut her eyes close, sleepy head.

But unfortunately, her peace was shattered as her alarm blared obnoxiously.

"Arghh!!" She grumpled, blindly reaching for her phone to smack the snooze button.

Just as she was about to drift back to sleep, "SAANU!! UTTH JA KUMBHKARAN KI FEMALE VERSION!"

(Saanu! Wake up Kumbhkaran's female version!)

Siddharth's voice boomed through the room. Saanvi shot up in the bed, glaring him with half-lidded, sleepy eyes,"Todha pyaar se bhi toh utha sakta hai!"

(Can also be woken up with love!)

Siddharth leaned against the door frame, smirking,"Pyaar se uthane ke liye apne pati ko bolna!"

(Ask your husband to wake you up lovingly!)

Saanvi glared him at his comment, but Siddharth just shrugged it off and continued.

"Or wase bhi, tujhe aaj hospital nhi Jaana? Ya Dr. Prakash ne bol diya 'Tumse na ho payega'?" He grinned sheepishly.

(And anyway, don't you want to go to the hospital today? Did Dr. Prakash say, 'You won't be able to do it'?)

Her eyes widened as she realized it was almost time, and she had to run,"Shit."

She dragged herself out of the bed and into the washroom. After a quick shower, she pulled on a crisp white shirt and black pants, tying her hair in a neat ponytail. She grabbed her lab coat, slipped on her watch, and hurried downstairs.

Saanvi stepped into the dining room, where Samarth, Siddharth, and Sakshi were already seated.

She dropped on her usual chair and reached for a toast without a word.

Siddharth smirked from across the table,"Look who finally decided to join us. Were you fighting a war in your dreams or what?!"

Saanvi shot him a glare,"Haan, or jeet ke aayi hoon. Ab mujhe shanti se naashta krne de!"

(Yes and I have come victorious. Now let me have breakfast in peace!)

Samarth flipped through his newspaper, glancing up with a grin,"Are Saanu, tue uski baaton ko seriously mat le! He just forgot to see his own face today after getting up."

(Saanu, don't take his words seriously! He just forgot to see his own face in the morning.)

Siddharth gasped dramatically, clutching his chest,"Pops, Aap esa kese keh skte ho? You took her side instead of your elder son!"

(Pops, How can you do this?)

Saanvi chuckled and high-fived with Samarth, who was now grinning.

Sakshi, setting down a bowl of fruit, chuckled,"Koi na, mein hoon na Teri side mein."

(It's okay, I am on your side.)

Saanvi rolled her eyes,"Always on his side, huh?!"

Siddharth sticks out his tongue, to which Samarth chuckles,"I'm on your side always."

Siddharth groaned,"Bhai, baisness at its peak."

Saanvi grinned in triumph, taking another bite of her toast, enjoying the rare victory.

Aniruddh was always before the first rays of dawn. And just like always, today also.

He had been up before the sunrise, pushing himself through an intense workout at his home gym. His sleeveless black vest clung to his toned frames as he did push-ups.

Finishing up, he stood up and grabbed a towel, wiping off the sweat. His mind was, however, still preoccupied. By someone he was trying hard to ignore.

He scowled. He had already spent way too much of his time thinking about her yesterday, and even now, she was lingering in his thoughts like an annoying itch he couldn't scratch.

"Not happening." He muttered, walking into his bathroom for a cold shower.

After freshening up, he donned a crisp three-piece blacksuit, fixing his cufflinks with practiced ease.

Knock.

"Get in." He said without looking at the person.

It was Kamla, their worker. She entered , bowing slightly.

"Breakfast is served, sir. Your presence is requested."

Aniruddh sighed. Requested? It's more like forced. He had been trying to avoid the family breakfast today at least today. Because of the incident at the table yesterday.

But it seems like he had no choice today.

With a last glance at his reflection, he grabbed his Rolex from his drawer, put it on, and headed downstairs.

As he stepped into the dining hall, everybody's heads turned towards him.

He can see all the devils in disguise, sitting with a smile that was clearly not a good sign.

He stopped in front of the table and grabbed an apple.

He took a bite,"Maa, I'm leaving. I have a-"

Arunya cut him off,"Sun na Ani, do minute baith ke breakfast kr lega na toh kuch nhi hoga!"

(Listen Ani, if you sit for two minutes and have breakfast, then nothing will happen!)

Aniruddh sighed,"Maa, important hai."

(Maa, it's important.)

And with that, without letting her say anything further, he grabbed his car keys and walked out towards his driveway. He opened the seat and then slipped inside.

Saanvi stepped into the hospital, greeting her colleagues with a bright smile as she walked towards her department.

Today, she had a packed schedule- rounds, patients report, and the critical case waiting for her review.

Yet, today, she was unusually distracted. She stood beside the patient's bed, but her mind wandered.

"Dimag kharab ho gaya hai mera!" She muttered under her breath.

(My mind has gone crazy!)

She shook her head and focused back on the patient, checking their vitals. But even as she gave instructions to the nurses, her thoughts drifted.

One of her junior doctor, Anwesha noticed her distraction.

Dr. Anwesha went towards her and called her out,"Dr. Saanvi you alright? You seem distracted."

Saanvi blinked, coming back to reality,"Huh? No- I mean Yes, I'm fine. Just...just sleep deprivation."

Dr. Anwesha raised an eyebrow, clearly not convinced but decided not to press further. Saanvi exhaled sharply and continued with her work, determined to push him out of her mind.

Aniruddh sat at the head of the conference table, tapping his fingers in the polished wood impatiently as his executives presented their reports.

Normally, he would have had counter-questions ready, but today...his mind was stuck.

"Arghh!! I hate that doctor." He scowled annoyed.

"Dusht aurat! Itna attitude toh Aryan mein bhi nhi hai!" He muttered.

(Evil woman! Even Aryan doesn't have this much attitude!)

"Sir?"

Aniruddh's head snapped , as he came back to reality. His P.A. Aarav looked at him expectantly.

"Hmm?"

Aarav crossed his arms,"Sir, aapne suna bhi meine kya kaha?"

(Sir, did you even hear what I said?)

Aniruddh nodded looking away hesitantly,"Ha...I mean...yes, I was listening."

He took the file in his hand and started turning the pages as if pretending he was listening. But, he had no no idea about what it was.

Aarav wasn't convinced,"Sir, mere Sar par bewakoof lekha hai?"

(Sir, is 'idiot' written on my head?)

Aniruddh tried hard not to laugh,"Haan, magr tumhe kisne bata diya?"

(Yes, but who told you?)

Aarav rolled his eyes, annoyed,"Sir!! Chalo, leave it! Aapka decision?"

(Sir!! leave it! Your decision?)

Aniruddh exhaled, shutting his laptop and setting the file down. His employees glanced at each other nervously.

"Meeting dismissed. I'm not in a mood for anymore bullshits."

He got up and walked out. Aarav smirked knowingly.

"Sir, ka system hack ho gaya hai. Magar hack kisne kiya yeh Pata krna hai."

(Sir's system has been hacked. But we have to find out who hacked it.)
